Costa Rican Visual Artist based in New York, experienced in Editorial Photography, Art Direction, Visual Culture, Editing, and Photoshoot/Short Film Production. His concept explores the ornamentation, hyperbolization, and exaltation of politicized bodies, often bridging Fine Art, Fashion, Branding, Commerce, and Short-Form Content.
As a Figure Model, Andrés embodies a sculptural and expressive presence in Figurative Art sessions—versed in both dynamic, swift gestures and sustained, meditative poses.

Andrés’ 2010s works unfold in a bold, vibrant palette with a Warholian–Almodóvarian flair, steeped in the playful excess of Latinx Kitsch and Camp.
Through ornamented portraits, experimental social nudes, and raw anti–selfies, he staged the body as both spectacle and testimony—affirming individuality, sexuality, and nudity as acts of celebration, resistance, and healing.
This formative and prolific era, marked by widespread publication, exhibition, and recognition, remains a cherished pre-depression chapter of artistic vitality—one Rangel now revisits as part of his in–progress renaissance.

His practice as a Visual Artist informs his modeling, shaping an intuitive awareness of light, perspective, and composition. In each session—whether private sittings, workshops, or academic studios—Andrés cultivates an atmosphere of collaboration, presence, and creative trust.
